Over the weekend I had a hankering for some fresh, home-style Japanese food. To satisfy my craving, D and I went for a quick dinner at one of our favorite Japanese restaurants in town before seeing
Toy Story 3 (which was great! highly recommend it).
Fukada is known for their homemade udon and soba noodles, organic ingredients and authentic Japanese dishes and everything we have tried there has been absolutely delicious.
{hamachi sashimi}
{sweet potato tempura}
{seafood salad}
{cold udon with hot dipping broth}
The udon looks so yummy!!! My favorite! =)
ReplyDeletethe hamachi sashimi and the sweet potato tempura looks soo yummy! this is making me hungry...
ReplyDeletethank you for reminding me about fukada! seriously, i always forget about that place even though it's right down the street! the udon sounds SOOOO YUM right now! and they give a lot of hamachi sashimi!! those are fat pieces! what are prices like there?
ReplyDeletecheap! i think our bill was like $30
ReplyDeletei like this place a lot too! i also tried their to go restaurant at the corner of Campus and Jamboree. the tofu salad was pretty good. my only gripe would be that recently, my experience at Fukada hasn't been very consistent. the majority of the time i have no complaints, but, on two separate occasions, i found a bug in my seafood salad and one time i smelled broth in my water cup...not sure if someone spilled the broth or if the cup wasn't washed well. it's hard to stay way from the cheap dinner prices and seemingly healthy meals so, i hope my future experiences here are more positive.
ReplyDeleteomigosh TWO bugs?! that kinda makes me want to take down this post!
