Lovely Weddings: Outfit Dilemma

I bought this dress from Urban Outfitters a few weeks ago and I'm still debating if I should keep it. I was planning to wear it to my cousin's wedding which is coming up later this year, but it's an outdoor wedding and the reception will be at a country club... What do you think? How do I accessorize this to make it a little more casual? Should I return it? HELP...

  1. will the reception be during the day?

i think a long really thin double strand necklace with some strappy heels would make this dress a little more playful and casual. or maybe belt it? like a thin metallic belt?

it's hard to tell from the angle, but it looks like the dress fits you perfectly! it's cute!

  2. hmm...well, i'm all about the big statement necklace right now, so i'm going to vote for a statement necklace and a simple clutch. =)

what color is your dress? is it dark blue or black?

is that why you're coming home in november? cause you can totally borrow one of my necklaces if you're gonna be home. trust me, i have a lot! =p

this is cute and not too loud:

  3. i love the dress and it fits you great, and i think it would be perfect for the occasion. I don't think it's too dressy at all.

i've been into statement jewelry as well. i like the idea of a cute necklace with that dress. Long or short. a long necklace would probably dress it down, if that's what you're going for.

p.s. your feet look tiny! hahahhahah! what kind of shoes are those? it's hard to tell, but they look cute!

  4. thanks for the ideas. i'll be on the look out for a bunch of accessories this weekend with everyone's suggestions in mind. and s, i'll take you up on your offer if i don't find anything by nov. i'm going to buy that BR necklace to see how it matches with the dress.

i think the reception will be in the afternoon. the dress is sheer black over a nude, so i think gold and metallic will work well with it. i'm wearing a bebe satin pump. and my feet does looks small but i think it's the camera angle because those shoes make my foot look bigger in person.
